We represent acquiring Authorities and claimants across the region and are involved in major infrastructure projects.
The compulsory purchase of Land & Buildings is a complex process that is often time consuming, complicated and reliant upon knowledge of the law.
Our team are experienced in representing both acquiring Authorities and claimants and therefore understand the needs, motivation and complexities for all parties.
For acquiring Authorities, we provide initial advice in relation to the Land & Buildings to be acquired, giving an overview of not only the likely costs involved, but also potential pitfalls.
We are able to advise and negotiate upon a claimants behalf, at all stages of the process, in order to minimise disruption and to ensure a practical and deliverable claim is maximised. The claimant’s reasonable surveyors costs are paid by the acquiring Authority, which means that the cost of our advice will not be incurred by the claimant.

Testimonials
“We would like to thank Cameron Butler for his invaluable work, advice and expertise during the compulsory purchase of our home and family butchers business. Recommended by our accountant, Cameron was outstandingly professional and, despite numerous challenges from the County Council, remained resolute during the long and technical negotiations. Without his dedication it would have been almost impossible to have undertaken these negotiations and continue to run our business. The efforts of Cameron minimised the stress of this process, for which we and our family will be forever grateful. We would have no hesitation in recommending FHP to people in the future, as would our accountant and solicitor.”
Colin & Sue Ward, Loughborough (Speaking about their compensation claim in connection with the Loughborough Inner Relief Road)
“I feel indebted to Cameron Butler for his invaluable guidance and support throughout the whole process. Cameron was indispensable as our link with the Environment Agency from the outset. His skills at interacting with the E. A. to quickly address and resolve our concerns as they arose was crucial to us during the invasive disruption to our lives. The successful outcome resulted in achieving a very fair and satisfactory offer of compensation to each of us individually”.
Sylvia and Alex Rimmington speaking about Cameron Butler
“We have been very satisfied with the way negotiations on our behalf have been carried out and the level of service has been first class”
