MOONS TOY STORE EXPANDS AFTER 52 YEARS IN LETTING SECURED BY FHP

FHP are delighted to have represented the landlord in letting 11,000 sq ft of retail space to Moons Toy Store in High Street, Newmarket.

Moons, who have been trading for 80 years, and had been in their previous retail space for 52 years, made the move in order to be able to trade over a single floor and expand their product range.

Doug Tweedie, Director at FHP commented:  “Every now and again something brings out the inner child and this letting did it for me.  I mean, who doesn’t love toys!  This particular building had the USP of being one of the largest retail units in Newmarket and we’re delighted it’s been taken by Amit and his team at Moons, it’s a great outcome for them and the town.”

“This particular leasing assignment was undertaken for a Midlands based client with whom we’ve worked closely on assets across the country.  Having four large vacant units available at the same time due to tenant administrations was a particularly challenging time for the client.  We’ve been able to devise a strategy to find the right occupier for a variety of different retail spaces and locations, of which we have now let three, with the fourth in solicitor’s hands.”
