Retail News
Acting on behalf of Topland Group, Oliver Marshall has agreed a deal with Millets to open at the former Trespass unit at St Marks Place Shopping Centre. The deal has seen Millets relocate from their current store on Middle Gate in the town to take 2,500ft² over ground and first floors on the main mall of the open air shopping centre in the heart of the town.
Oliver Marshall of FHP Property Consultants commented:-
“Millets are a top national brand and this is a great result for St Marks, the fact they are relocating from elsewhere in the town shows the strength of the centre. St Marks has an excellent mix of retailers and Millets join the likes of Clarks, New Look, Wilko and Claire’s, as well as a great mix of independent operators.”
Even more good news comes as Jack Shakespeare has agreed lease renewals with both Clintons and Sally’s Hair & Beauty in order to retain their occupation within the scheme.
Jack Shakespeare comments:-
“The affluent market town of Newark-on-Trent has, despite the announced closure of the Marks & Spencer, remained a well shopped centre and has continued to retain national occupiers along with attracting new ones including some top quality independent operators.”
