Following many years in the planning, a major regeneration scheme in a Derbyshire town is about to start, with construction of the first building due to commence in the New Year.
Chesterfield Waterside is an exciting £340m high quality mixed use scheme set on a canalside environment, situated on the edge of the town centre and directly adjacent to the mainline railway station. Built across 16 hectares, the development will revitalise the eastern side of Chesterfield on an unprecedented scale for the town.
The first commercial element is Basin Square and will comprise a detached office building, hotel, 350 built to rent apartments and a multistorey car park.
Development will commence shortly on circa 35,000ft² of Grade A office accommodation, which will be the first step in delivering the Chesterfield Waterside vision. FHP Property Consultants and Knight Frank have been appointed as letting agents for the offices.
The 7 storey building can provide floorplates to suit requirements from 2,500ft² upwards and the agents are pleased to confirm that 4 floors are already under offer with terms agreed, leaving up to 16,410ft² available. The accommodation will be finished to a Grade A specification incorporating 2 passenger lifts, raised access flooring, air conditioning, LED lighting, high quality entrance foyer, showers and cycle parking facilities onsite.
The project is being delivered by Chesterfield Waterside Limited which is a joint venture between Bolsterstone Group, Laver Regeneration and Chesterfield Borough Council.
