LINCOLN IS NO HANDICAP TO BETFRED AS ANOTHER BRANCH OPENS IN THE CITY!

Retained client Betfred Bookmakers have recently opened a new branch at the Carlton Centre which is the largest commercial and shopping destination to the north of Lincoln city centre and which will eventually benefit from the substantial housing development currently under construction on the adjoining site at Bunkers Hill.

The ground floor lock up shop unit containing 1,020ft² is situated in Alexander Walk which links the residential area to the main shopping frontage where occupiers include Boots, Brantano, Poundstretcher, Halfords and Argos.

Mark Bradley, Director of FHP Property Consultants who negotiated the deal commented:-

“The opportunity was identified after market research by Betfred supported the business case for this location to be targeted and to secure representation as the only betting shop at the Centre.  The occupational costs are relatively low for these neighbourhood units and with additional housing proposed and the recent extension of the main retail area bringing in additional shoppers, Betfred were able to consolidate their trading position by acquiring a vacant former opticians unit which came to the market.

This acquisition complements a number of other betting shops from which Betfred trade in the centre and surrounds of Lincoln including North Hykeham, Birchwood and Brant Road.”
