KAYDIAN DESIGN RELOCATE TO AMBER BUSINESS CENTRE

FHP Property Consultants and Landlords Commercial Estates Group are delighted to welcome Kaydian Design Limited to their new premises at The Amber Business Centre in Riddings.

Kaydian have taken a lease of circa 30,000ft² of warehouse space to relocate their central distribution warehouse facility.  Kaydian is a leading supplier of upholstered bedsteads to the UK contract and retail sector.  The acquisition will facilitate Kaydian Design continued expansion in the UK.

Richard Jeffrey from Kaydian comments:

“Due to redevelopment of our old facility we needed to identify suitable alternative premises and homed in on The Amber Business Centre due to proximity to the A38 and M1 and the availability of the right premises with good yard space”.

The building itself was in need of some refurbishment and these works were carried out by Commercial Estates Group prior to completion of the lease.  The building therefore provides good quality warehouse space with 2 loading yards, secure yard, sales and admin office and staff facilities.

“Having identified the right building for Kaydian, the Landlords set to work agreeing a specification, schedule of works, completing the documentation and once agreed pressing on in overseeing the refurbishment works to provide an excellent facility”.

FHP Property Consultants have one unit currently available of 12,400ft² which is currently undergoing refurbishment prior to being ready for occupational in October.  A further three production and warehouse buildings will be coming available at the start of 2016 providing units of 14,449ft², 25,533ft² and 40,404ft² together with a separate office of 3,377ft².

Tim Richardson adds:

“These four buildings are currently used in combination for production and distribution purposes totaling some 83,764f² which again could be occupied as one facility, or equally as separate individual units with their own dedicated loading and yards.  The Amber Business Centre is a managed site with easy access to the motorway network and given the current shortage of industrial premises of this size we anticipate there will be a good level of interest.”
