A new desert and ice cream café is opening in Derby at Central Hall this July in time for summer, in a deal agreed by Darran Severn of FHP Property Consultants.
It is the third letting in this parade outside Intu Derby that FHP have completed in the last month, also letting the unit next door to national homeware retailer ‘Pondon Homes’ and the upper floors to gym franchise ‘Exercise for less’.
It signals wider activity happening in the city as voids are reducing in central Derby, and more retailers are signing up, including Dr Martens on Sadler Gate.
Diletto takes a twist on the American style diner concept seen spreading across many UK cities, offering an alternative to after dinner drinks and acting as a daytime social hub, serving up delights such as ice cream, sundaes and milkshakes.
Hassan Khan, business owner comments:
“We are very excited to open Diletto (house of delicious ice cream and deserts) in Derby City Centre, and we are thankful to FHP Property Consultants for providing us the opportunity in the heart of city centre. We are looking forward to add the delicious taste of our products in Derby.”
Darran Severn comments:
“It’s great to see new business’s coming to Derby and East Street has proved popular due to the high foot fall between Intu Derby and the Bus Station. With less opportunities around, its only a matter of time until rents begin to increase. ”
The lease for the 2,362ft² unit has been taken on a 10 year term.
