Leading commercial property agents, Fisher Hargreaves Proctor, have been instructed to market the premises at 2/4 Wilford Street, Nottingham on behalf of The Irish Centre.
The premises provide over 10,000 ft² of gross internal accommodation together with a car park for approximately 30 vehicles. They are situated immediately adjacent to the Waterfront leisure scheme and the Castle Wharf office development which includes the Head Quarters of The Nottingham Evening Post.
Steve Young of Fisher Hargreaves Proctor commented:-
“We are delighted to have been instructed to act on behalf of The Irish Centre in disposing of their property within Nottingham City Centre. It is the intention of our clients to downsize into part of the premises or alternatively seek smaller premises elsewhere and dispose of the property in its entirety. I believe that this provides a unique opportunity to acquire a City Centre freehold with a fantastic car park and I anticipate that it will appeal to a cross section of parties including churches, social groups, restaurateurs, nightclub operators and developers.”
Julie Cassidy-Gosling, Chair of The Irish Centre commented:-
“The Irish Centre is more than bricks and mortar; it is the belief that people have in themselves and in one another. Whatever the outcome all community activities will carry on for the benefit of members and the general public, including the Comhaltas traditional music classes, the Golden Shamrock Club, Set Dancing, traditional card games as well as a host of cultural and social events organised by the members and groups such as the Irish Studies Group. The Nottingham Irish Centre has a past to be proud of, a present to survive and manage, and a future to look forward to.”
