Oliver Marshall, Director within FHP’s Retail and Leisure Agency team has been crowned the Most Active Retail Agent in the UK for the second year running, having transacted more retail and leisure lettings and sales throughout 2023 than any other agent across the country.

The statistics are compiled by Estates Gazette (EG) Radius which records the number of deals across different commercial property sectors throughout the year, with the end of year results being announced in their latest 29^th February issue.

Oliver completed 66 retail and leisure deals across 2023 winning him the coveted top spot for the second year running. This is a remarkable achievement highlighting his dedication, expertise and commitment to the sector. Oliver has consistently demonstrated his ability to navigate the complex dynamics of the retail landscape, delivering outstanding results for his clients across the country.

Commenting on his achievement, Oliver Marshall expressed his gratitude and emphasised the collective efforts that contributed to this milestone: “I am really pleased to receive this prestigious recognition for the second year in a row. The retail market remains a challenging sector to work in, with changing consumer behaviours and market dynamics. We have seen the failure of many well-known brands over recent years including Wilko last year, though these situations do create opportunity for growing and new operators to secure new spaces – which we saw in the reletting of a number of their former units for clients.

Despite the challenges faced we continue to see good demand across all retail sub-sectors; high street, shopping centre, neighbourhood centres and roadside. Our marketing, pro-active and positive approach sets us apart and really enables us to deliver for our clients.”

The wider FHP retail team also collected a number of accolades in the 2023 EG rankings including; Most Active Retail Agents in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and the East Midlands and the 4^th Most Active across the UK.

Across all sectors (Retail, Office, Industrial, Hotels and Leisure) FHP were named 9^th Most Active Agent in the UK as well as the Most Active Agents in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
