FHP acting on behalf of private land owners have completed the sale of a 10 acre site on Cockett Lane at Farnsfield, Nottinghamshire to Barratt Homes.
FHP were brought in to advise the land owners some 5 years ago when the site was outside of the village boundary.
The Vendor said: “David Hargreaves outlined the various routes we could go down including entering into an Option Agreement with a developer, or a Subject to Planning sale. We knew the sale would not be quick, but through the constant support of FHP and Freeths, and the professionalism of Barratt Homes and in particular their Planning Team, we were able to manoeuvre our way through the planning process to finally secure a Planning Consent for the development of 88 no. 4 and 5 bedroomed houses.
David Hargreaves confirmed: “We had a lot of interest in this site by virtue of its location and there were various routes we could progress. However, the strength of Barratt’s Planning Team and their relationship with Newark & Sherwood District Council ultimately persuaded us to proceed with a conditional contract with Barratt Homes. I am pleased to say that they are now on site, building houses, whilst FHP have been retained to market a small industrial site which is part of the Planning Consent.”
FHP advised the vendors with Barratt Homes representing themselves.
