Industrial/Warehouse News
One of the biggest names in carpet and upholstery cleaning has swept into new premises in Nottingham to assist its expansion.
Chem-Dry Central, which carries out specialist cleaning for domestic and corporate clients across the East Midlands, has signed up to take two units totalling 8,628 sq ft at Harrimans Lane in Lenton, one of the city’s most popular and well-located industrial and warehouse locations.
Chem-Dry Central, which last year won the company’s regional and national franchise of the year awards, already has premises in Clifton and Cotgrave. It will use the new site at Harrimans Court off Harrimans Lane for cleaning and storage.
The five-year lease was brokered by Laura West, of the Nottingham property consultancy FHP, working alongside Sean Bremner, head of industrial and logistics agency at the Nottingham office of Lambert Smith Hampton.
Laura West commented:-
“Chem-Dry is a major player in domestic and commercial cleaning and they looked very carefully for a new location which would assist their expansion. The quality of the units was important, but so was a well-connected location and the two units at Harrimans Cout clearly met both criteria.
“The Lenton Lane area is one of the most popular industrial and warehouse locations in the city because it is close to both the A52 and the A453, which puts it within easy reach of both the city and the regional road network.
“This was a deal which happened very quickly and I’m not surprised. Chem-Dry Central knew what it was looking for, and in Harrimans Court they found a well-presented site which reflects their own outlook and ambitions.”
Sean Bremner, of Lambert Smith Hampton, added:-
“Chem-Dry Central were very keen to secure premises of a quality and specification which matched their own corporate profile. They wanted excellent, clean accommodation in a modern environment and Harrimans Court provided just that.
“It is great to see a locally-based business growing and committing to expansion in Nottingham.”
Chem-Dry Central was founded in 1993, and has become established as the authority in carpet and upholstery cleaning, using a patented ‘carbonating’ process which does not harm materials or leave sticky residues.
Besides conventional domestic and commercial work, the company is also an expert in post-fire and flood cleaning and restoration and disaster recovery work, working for all the major insurance companies.
Its teams of technicians are certified to British Damage Management Association standards, offering services which range from dry cleaning and furniture restoration to building reinstatement works.
Richard Harris, Director at Chem-Dry Central, commented:-
“We are very pleased to have secured the two units at Harrimans Court, which will provide us with state-of-the-art cleaning and storage facilities for our clients.
“We had contemplated and made our decision to commit to these units after deliberations based on their quality and location in relation to our other premises.”
