Industrial/Warehouse News
For occupiers one of the key benefits of relocating to bespoke built production or storage accommodation is the chance to occupy a factory purpose designed and built, ideal for their businesses needs.
Over the last few years Castlewood Business Park has seen a number of companies drawn to the park due to its fantastic location which enables ease of access for staff but also provides terrific transport links, sitting adjacent to Junction 28 of the M1 at its intersection with the A38.
Looking back though it is always good to hear from occupiers on the site of their anticipated improved productivity following relocation becoming reality and yet again developers Clowes Developments and their agents Tim Gilbertson of FHP and Ranjit Gill of Savills are delighted to see how a new base is helping the most recent occupier, Parker Knoll, improve productivity already.
Tim Gilbertson takes up the story:
“Parker Knoll completed the lease of their new premises at the end of 2015 and effectively ‘moved in’ over the holiday period. With production starting early in 2016 from a static start incredibly they are already significantly up on productivity within a matter of weeks at a time when most business would still be struggling to ensure production was at least happening!
This shows again the benefit of taking on purpose built accommodation, rather than adapting your business specific production needs and flows to ‘somebody elses’ property.
We wish Parker Knoll well in the future on the park and as their comment show below, Castlewood appears to be helping their business realise improved productivity which can only improve profitability in the long term too.”
Spokeswoman for Parker Knoll, Meisha-Grace Nicely commented:
“Though still very early days we are experiencing increased productivity and inventory levels are steadily coming down, having only been in the premises for a month this is great progress and we look forward to further growth and success. This very positive tone though tells its own story and is further proof of the attraction of Castlewood not only as a destination but with excellent transport links and ease of access for staff but also one where, due to the skill of the developers team, bespoke property solutions are produced helping to enhance and develop occupiers profitability.”
