Highfields Science Park has witnessed a good level of activity as it has seen the recent completion of two separate deals. The first being the sale and leaseback of SCC Limited’s Unit 1 to an investor for £249,500 reflecting a net initial yield of 6% when applied to the net rental income of £16,000 per annum. The second being the subletting for three years of Chubb Electronic Limited’s leasehold liability at Unit 4 at an average rental of £15,000 per annum.
Billy Wright BSc (Hons) of Fisher Hargreaves Proctor acting on behalf of SCC and Chubb Electronic stated:
“Over the past few months it has been well documented throughout the media that the credit crunch is affecting all forms of property but in Nottingham the smaller commercial market is still looking attractive to tenants and purchasers and these two deals at Highfields Science Park highlight this fact. We now only have one unit left at Edison Village in the Highfields Science Park which is 1,200ft² and is being offered on both a long leasehold and leasehold basis.”
